Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle all cleaning tasks with precision while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and hotel safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by executing routine janitorial duties efficiently.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or furniture safely in accordance with manual handling protocols.
• Use proper custodial techniques for floor cleaning, including chemical handling and application of floor care products to ensure longevity and appearance.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to housekeeping services.
• Maintain cleanliness records and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.

Experience

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality environments.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards, hotel emergency procedures, and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience with a focus on floor cleaning, chemical handling, and safe manual handling practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Experience managing housekeeping operations in a fast-paced hotel setting is highly desirable.
