Immigration Attorney

Overview
we are seeking an immigration attorney that can be tailored to our organization's needs. Specially during this imprecedent times. We are a non profit whose mission is to prevent immigration fraud, as well as representing low income immigrants before the immigration courts in regards to removal proceedings, affirmative cases and such. The attorney that we are looking for is admitted to practice in New York, has a "all hands on deck' attitude , is a team player, and is willing to be supervised by two more attorneys. We are looking for someone that has the passion and attitude to advocate for our community. The attorney does not necessarily have to have extensive experience, but more a demeanor to learn, and experience the very demeanor immigration field. We are willing to train to the right person. Willing to litigate a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel in areas such as immigration law, family law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.
• Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents including contracts, wills, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in litigation proceedings and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain organized records of all client interactions and case progress within the law office.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop strategies for complex cases.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients' interests.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful client representation.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
• Prior legal administrative experience is advantageous.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
