Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients navigating complex immigration processes, providing expert legal guidance and strategic solutions. As an Immigration Attorney, you will play a vital role in helping individuals and families achieve their immigration goals while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on various immigration matters, including visas, green cards, asylum, deportation defense, and naturalization processes
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as petitions, applications, affidavits, and supporting evidence with precision and attention to detail
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on immigration laws, policies, and case law developments
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, interviews, and court proceedings related to immigration cases
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation, assess case viability, and develop strategic plans for successful outcomes
  • Maintain meticulous case files and ensure timely submission of all required documentation in accordance with deadlines
  • Engage in negotiations with government agencies or opposing parties when appropriate to facilitate favorable resolutions

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar or equivalent licensing authority
  • Proven experience practicing immigration law with a strong understanding of federal statutes, regulations, and procedures
  • Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for effective case analysis
  • Excellent legal drafting skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive documents
  • Strong research skills complemented by the ability to interpret complex legal information accurately
  • Experience handling litigation cases involving immigration issues or related areas such as family law or tribal law & regulations is a plus
  • Knowledge of additional practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, or law office administrative tasks is advantageous
  • Exceptional negotiation skills combined with a proactive approach to client advocacy
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
