The Ashbrook Hill Consulting Group is an established boutique Immigration Law firm serving the immigration needs of noncitizen clients throughout the state of Colorado, with offices located in Denver and Colorado Springs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Paralegal to support our Immigration Law practice at our firm’s Denver office. This position entails mostly in-person work at our office (with occasional remote work over time), working on multiple clients’ cases and meeting deadlines set by the attorneys. Regular job duties will include: reviewing and analyzing legal documents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (EOIR, OPLA, and USCIS); drafting legal documents (motions, court filings, applications, correspondence, et cetera); working on asylum applications, and working with clients detained by ICE; collecting and reviewing evidence from clients; filing and serving legal documents online; and other occasional basic administrative assistance as-needed.
We expect all our staff to possess a strong work ethic and commitment to serving our clients’ best interests. This includes habitual punctuality during working hours, professional attire and demeanor at the office, and a cordial attitude towards one’s colleagues. That said, our office environment is somewhat less “uptight” and more “laid back” than that of most law firms.
MINIMUM APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements for the Paralegal role at our firm are:
The ideal candidate for this position will be fully fluent in both English and Spanish, have prior experience working as a paralegal at an Immigrating Law Firm, and will be either a “certified” or “certificated” paralegal, or have at least an Associate’s Degree.
SALARY AND OTHER
The compensation for this position is $40k-70k annually. As an employee at our law firm, you will receive all federal holidays off with pay, flexible sick days and paid vacation time, reimbursement for certain work-related expenses, and health insurance, vision, and dental.
