Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and legal staff by managing various administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and assisting with case preparation. This position requires a strong understanding of EOIR and/or Consular Processing.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive support to attorneys.
- Assist in the drafting of legal documents and correspondence.
- Conduct data entry and maintain organized filing systems for case files.
- Prepare and file documents with courts and other relevant agencies.
- Research legal precedents and assist in the preparation of case materials.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an EOIR and/or CP paralegal
- Familiarity with immigration law. At least 2 years of experience
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail for accurate document preparation.
- Proficient in data entry and maintaining organized filing systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A background in paralegal studies or related field is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
