Summary
Positions to perform the following (but not limited to) tasks: Monitor foreign shipments inbound to the United States and coordinate the clearance of all US import shipments through US Customs and Border Protection.

ü Coordinate inbound cargo, collaborating with foreign suppliers and freight forwarders preventive actions

ü Clear all US import shipments: Input shipment information into import system, transmit entry data to US Customs, monitor customs responses and provide clearance documents to carriers. Properly file import entry packages for record retention

ü Analyze and classify imported products based on tariff codes and regulations, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to trade agreements.

ü Arrival Coordination: Monitor incoming shipments, prepare import packet documentation and obtain any missing information from carriers and internal product managers

ü Help support the overall administrative and compliance activities of the Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) program

ü Enter Importer Security Filing data into import system and file with US Customs and Border Protection; monitor responses and escalate as required

ü Coordinate final delivery of freight to distribution center.

ü Assist in the identification and correction of common root causes for Import shipment clearance delays

ü Communicates critical information to internal and external stakeholders regarding Customs status. Participate in daily production meetings, providing shipment status.

ü Collaborates with and supports Manager, Materials and other functional business areas as workload dictates.

ü Interpretate data and analyze trends regarding tariffs, broker’s fees and landing cost.

Experience Education

o High School Diploma or equivalent (3 - 5 years of related experience)

o Preferable bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or University and 2 years of related work experience in international supply chain management/Logistics

o In-depth knowledge of import regulations and customs procedures to ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations

Computer Skills

o Mut be proficient (advanced preferred) in the use of Microsoft Office, primary MS Excel

o Ability to develop, manipulate, format, and share spreadsheets for analysis.

o Proficiency in using import-related software and systems to facilitate smooth and efficient import operation

Job Related Skill

o Must be results driven, adaptable, detail oriented and organized.

o Must exhibit strong problem solving and time management skills to work with different time zones stakeholders.

o Demonstrate ability to analyze data and consolidation opportunities.

o Ability to work independently.

o Demonstrated ability to multi-task and contribute in projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,453.67 - $64,374.32 per year
