Import Operations Group Manager

Join one of the leading companies in the retail industry as an Import Operations Group Manager . In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all import processes, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and leading a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence.

We are seeking a results-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of import operations, and a passion for driving efficiency in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


General Qualifications;

· Graduated from Engineering (preferably Industrial or Management Engineering), Business Administration or related departments of universities.

· Having 15+ years of experience in Foreign Trade sector including 5-7 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably has 10 years of ready-to wear, retail sector experience.Having a good command of international and national foreign trade regulations.

· Having good knowledge of budget and project management.

· Having experience in efficiency, process improvement, optimization, lean applications and data science processes.

· Having strong communication skills and experience in working close to the field, internal and external stakeholder units.

· Having strong analytical thinking, planning, effective problem solving, quickly adapting to the rapid changes, out-of-the-box thinking skills.

· Having advanced organization, leadership and coaching skills to lead a large team.

· Having excellent verbal and written English communication skills.


Position Specific Responsibilities;

· Reports to the Import Operations Director.

· Ensures preparation of the Import Department’s annual budget and investment plan; defines efficiency actions and tracks the budget monthly.

· Ensures that processes related to Import, Incentive, Customer Services, and Import Department projects are carried out in compliance with time, cost, quality, and legislation requirements to meet internal customer needs.

· Takes necessary legal initiatives to protect company rights and interests by identifying calculated risks related to potential legal, financial, administrative, and penal consequences during operations.

· Monitors and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices; reviews and updates policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Makes annual and quarterly Import Department KPI performance visible; monitors results; takes corrective actions when necessary.

· Designs and implements the organizational structure and processes to manage the Import Department with a lean and agile approach.

· Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for team members.
