In-Home ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician (BT or RBT)

Achievement Behavior Services is expanding its team of ABA Therapists, Behavior Technicians, and Registered Behavior Technicians across New York. We have several consistent daytime, after-school, and weekend cases available for individuals who are passionate about helping children and adolescents with autism build meaningful skills.

Team members work one-on-one with a consistent client in the client’s home or community. Each Behavior Technician receives guidance and ongoing clinical supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 4:00 PM–6:00 PM

  • Saturday: 9:30 AM–3:30 PM

  • The Saturday schedule offers some flexibility

  • Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM–7:00 PM

Your Role

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide individualized ABA services based on a treatment plan created by the client’s supervising BCBA. Through structured activities, positive reinforcement, and play-based interactions, you will help your client make progress toward important communication, behavioral, social, and independence goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting one-on-one ABA sessions in the client’s home or community

  • Implementing individualized treatment and behavior-support strategies

  • Teaching and reinforcing communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills

  • Using positive reinforcement and appropriate redirection techniques

  • Collecting data throughout each session

  • Preparing accurate and timely session documentation

  • Sharing relevant progress updates with the supervising BCBA

  • Communicating professionally with caregivers, supervisors, and other team members

  • Following clinical feedback and requesting support when needed

  • Arriving consistently and on time for all scheduled sessions

Who We’re Looking For

The strongest candidates are patient, dependable, engaging, and comfortable building relationships with children and families.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents

  • Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or special education

  • Education or coursework in psychology, applied behavior analysis, education, special education, social work, or another related area

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician certification is preferred but not required

  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback from a clinical supervisor

  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable during challenging situations

  • Reliable transportation to the selected client’s location

  • Availability to maintain a consistent weekly commitment

  • Ability to satisfy applicable New York State employment and documentation requirements
