In Home Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and friendly, In-Home Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to Veteran Clients in their own homes. Our starting pay is at the top of its class. We do this to attract the most dedicated caregivers in the field.

We will do our best to offer you a veteran client that lives closest to your home, so travel is minimal and accessibility is not an issue during inclement weather or high traffic times. This opening is specifically for a Client that lives in Asheville, Candler, Woodfin, Weaverville Mars Hill, Marshall . But we will hire caregivers in other areas as well.

We are family owned and operated and strive for customer and client satisfaction. We have been in the Hendersonville and Asheville areas for over 7 years and have serviced over 300 veterans during this time as well as countless clients that live in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities or in their private homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients, particularly those with specific Activities of Daily Living needs such as fall prevention, dressing, bathing, and medication reminders. The ideal candidate will have experience in homecare as well as cooking and cleaning for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
• Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
• Monitor vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
• Medication reminders.
• Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
• Implement care plans developed by our nurses, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and healthcare teams regarding client needs and progress.

Requirements

• CNA experience, current or present
• Proven experience as a caregiving
• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and practices is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
• Your own reliable transportation
• Valid Driver License
