We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers in the Grand Haven and surrounding areas to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in a home care settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role involves working closely with individuals who may have disabilities or other health conditions requiring specialized attention. Prior experience in patient care, home health, or hospice care is highly valued but not required. The caregiver will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those under their care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
  • Support residents with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition
  • Observe and document patient condition, behavior, and progress through patient monitoring and record-keeping
  • Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safety during transfers
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties as needed
  • Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information

Skills

  • Proven experience in senior care, home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
  • Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate support tailored to individual needs
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
  • CPR certification and first aid training are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required if not already certified
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance
  • Experience working with diverse populations in home health or social work settings is advantageous

Pay: $16.75 - $18.50 per hour
