Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, including those with disabilities, memory care needs, or requiring hospice care. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients receive the assistance they need while promoting their independence and dignity.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene, repositioning assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility, gentle range of motion and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Document in caregiver log client observations, any changes in health or behavior and report to appropriate family member and supervisor.
- Support clients with daily living activities such as medication reminders and light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide adjunct care for patients such as basic first aid, transportation, shopping, errands.
- Adhere to agency policies and procedures, code of conduct and professionalism
Requirements
- Experience in patient care, particularly with individuals who are elderly, disabled, have memory care needs is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong observational skills to recognize changes in client health and well-being effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A caring demeanor with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably in their own homes.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or home health settings is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA, CPR and First Aid certifications preferred but not required
- Transportation to get to client locations

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
