Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
  • Prepare nutritious meals aligned with care plans and dietary requirements, ensuring safety during cooking and meal service
  • Support patients with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care protocols
  • Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts and manage heavy lifting to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
  • Conduct patient observation to detect changes in condition or behavior, communicating updates promptly to healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
  • Follow established care plans meticulously while providing compassionate emotional support and companionship
  • Document all care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
  • Assist with community integration activities to promote social engagement and mental stimulation for clients

Experience
Candidates should bring a strong background in home health or community care environments, ideally with experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly valued. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication management, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid is essential. Knowledge of working within HIPAA privacy standards ensures confidentiality at all times. Candidates must demonstrate patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely is required. Experience working with specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or managing care for residents with complex needs will set you apart. Pay: From $20.00 per hour
