Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health or behavior, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications safely following care plans while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
  • Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
  • Support clients with cognitive challenges such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through engaging activities and memory care techniques
  • Document care activities diligently, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement

Experience

  • Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly valued
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
  • Hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia care preferred
  • Familiarity with assisted living standards, hospice care practices, and long-term care environments is advantageous
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
