Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve overall mental health.
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe living environment.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met with care and attention.
  • Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
  • Follow care plans meticulously, adhering to safety protocols and respecting client preferences at all times.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any incidents or concerns.

Experience

  • Prior experience in home caregiving or providing personal assistance is highly valued.
  • Background working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with chronic conditions, or those recovering from illness or surgery.
  • Knowledge of medical-surgical care practices and familiarity with medication management.
  • Experience supporting clients with geriatrics, post-acute care needs, or in outpatient/clinic settings is preferred.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations confidently, especially those requiring Level II trauma center experience or emergency medicine skills.
  • Demonstrated compassion and patience while working with individuals in various stages of recovery or chronic illness management.
