We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Care Lead to join our team. In this leadership-focused role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to clients while also supporting the clinical operations of our caregiving team.
The CNA Care Lead serves as both a hands-on caregiver and a mentor to other caregivers, helping ensure consistent, high-quality care across all client visits. This position is ideal for an experienced CNA who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, building strong relationships with clients, and supporting fellow caregivers through training, supervision, and guidance.
Responsibilities
As a CNA Care Lead, you will provide one-on-one care to clients while supporting care team coordination and quality assurance. Responsibilities may include:
Client Care
- Assisting clients with personal care, bathing, and hygiene
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs prior to providing care
- Supporting daily living activities and mobility
- Providing companionship and social engagement
- Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Running errands or assisting clients with appointments
- Maintaining professional standards while ensuring client dignity, comfort, and safety
Care Leadership & Team Support
- Conducting chart audits to ensure accurate and complete documentation from caregivers
- Performing supervisory visits with home care clients to monitor care quality and client satisfaction
- Assisting with Start of Care visits for new clients, helping initiate services and ensure a smooth transition into care
- Updating and maintaining care plans to reflect client needs and service changes
- Training and onboarding new caregivers and CNAs, providing mentorship and support
- Communicating observations, client updates, and team feedback to the care coordination team
This role combines direct client care with leadership responsibilities, helping maintain high standards of service while supporting a strong and collaborative caregiving team.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification
- Previous caregiving experience required; leadership or mentoring experience preferred
- Reliable transportation for local travel
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to adapt to different care environments and client needs
- Comfortable supervising and training other caregivers
