About the Available Tutoring Position:

**Employment Type:** Part-Time

This position is IN-PERSON, so applicants MUST be able to COMMUTE to the home reliably.

We are seeking a patient, engaging tutor to work one-on-one with a rising 3rd-grade student who is currently performing around a mid-year Kindergarten reading level and has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The student lives in Austin, TX, 78723. We encourage applicants who live in locations such as East Austin, Cherrywood, Hyde Park, Decker, or Dessau.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized reading and phonics instruction
Build literacy confidence through structured, engaging lessons
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the student's unique learning needs
Communicate progress and recommendations to the Club Z! team

Student Information:

Rising 3rd-grade student
Focus: Reading and Phonics
Current performance level: Approximately mid-year Kindergarten reading level
Student has ASD

Schedule:

60-minute sessions
2 sessions per week
Options for sessions: include Weekends anytime, or Mondays and Wednesdays after 4:30 PM
Temporary online sessions may be needed during family travel

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching reading, phonics, literacy intervention, special education, or early elementary students
• Experience working with students with ASD preferred
• Minimum of an Associates Degree
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must be a US Citizen

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
