Part-Time Early Literacy Tutor (K-3)

Tutor Doctor Mansfield, Easton & West Brockton is a locally owned and operated tutoring service providing personalized academic support to students of all ages. We hand-pick tutors based on each student's unique learning style and goals. We are actively building our tutor roster in anticipation of upcoming school partnerships. Selected candidates will be contacted as placements become available in your area. This would potentially be supporting a statewide Literacy Launch program and we're looking for dedicated early literacy tutors to work with K–3 students across our service area.

What you'll do

• Deliver structured 1:1 or small-group (up to 4 students) literacy tutoring sessions 3-5 times per week
• Follow a Science of Reading-aligned, evidence-based curriculum with fidelity
• Administer brief progress monitoring assessments to track student growth
• Communicate regularly with teachers and school-site coordinators about student progress
• Maintain accurate session logs and student data in our tracking systems

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in education, reading, child development, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience working with K–3 students in a school, tutoring, childcare, or paraprofessional setting
• Familiarity with phonics, phonemic awareness, and the Science of Reading (a strong plus)
• Patient, enthusiastic, and able to build trust and rapport quickly with young learners
• Reliable availability during and/or after school hours - flexibility across time slots preferred
• Ability to pass a background check
• Massachusetts educator license not required, but strongly preferred

Schedule & location

Sessions take place before, during, or after the school day at partner schools in Mansfield, Easton, West Brockton, and surrounding communities. Both in-person and virtual positions are potentially available. Candidates with flexibility across multiple time slots are strongly preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
