Overview
The Support Staff plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their own homes. This position involves working closely with patients, assisting them with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, or other related fields.
Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, and errands.
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces to ensure a safe environment.
- Engage patients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support patients during heavy lifting tasks using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care strategies.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- As a member of our team, you will:

- Encourage independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort
- Maintain simple documentation of services provided
Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable, compassionate, and motivated to help others
- Ability to pass a background study (per DHS requirements)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred, but not required
- Experience in caregiving, PCA, IHS, ICLS, or homemaking is a plus – but we provide training and support!
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary needs.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs. This position is ideal for compassionate individuals dedicated to improving the quality of life for those they serve while working within a supportive team environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
