Position Summary
We are seeking an In-House Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, payroll, and job costing while maintaining clean, accurate financial records in QuickBooks Desktop. This role is critical to providing leadership with reliable, decision-ready financial data.
You will also serve as the internal point person for our outside CPA firm by preparing clean schedules and organized documentation for smooth month-end and year-end processes.
This role is ideal for:
- A recent accounting graduate seeking hands-on ownership and real-world experience, or
- An experienced accountant who enjoys being hands-on and wants to grow into a controller-style role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Job Costing with high accuracy
- Allocate labor, materials, and expenses to jobs for reliable job cost reporting
- Process biweekly payroll and manage payroll tax reporting
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Produce weekly/monthly financial and job cost reports for leadership
- Coordinate with an outside CPA firm for month-end and year-end support
- Support benefits onboarding/offboarding and benefits documentation
- Assist with light office and administrative support as needed

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Comfort with QuickBooks Desktop and spreadsheets
- Ability to organize documentation and meet deadlines
- Professional communication and confidentiality
Preferred
- Construction accounting or job costing experience
- Payroll processing and payroll tax knowledge
- Experience supporting an outside CPA firm
- Interest in process improvement and internal controls
