About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accounts Executive to manage and maintain accurate financial records for Aaditya Transport. This is an in-house position responsible for handling day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, vendor payments, payroll coordination, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and smooth accounting operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts & Bookkeeping
  • Record and maintain all financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, and receipts) in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books).
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
  • Maintain petty cash records and cash flow tracking.
  • Monitor and update the general ledger and balance sheets.
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • Prepare and issue client invoices on time (weekly/monthly).
  • Track outstanding payments and follow up with clients for collections.
  • Issue GST-compliant tax invoices and generate monthly GST reports.
  • Vendor & Payment Management
  • Maintain vendor payment schedules and process timely payouts.
  • Handle fuel card and vehicle-related payments, reimbursements, and record keeping.
  • Ensure all expenses are categorized and documented properly.
  • Payroll & Compliance
  • Coordinate with HR/operations to process monthly driver and staff salaries.
  • Ensure proper calculation of deductions.
  • Prepare and submit reports for internal and external audits.
  • Reporting & Support
  • Generate monthly financial statements, profit & loss summaries, and client-wise revenue reports.
  • Support management in budget tracking and cost optimization efforts.
  • Provide timely updates to the company’s leadership on key financial metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (transport/logistics industry preferred)
  • Proficiency in Xero
  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and basic financial compliance in India
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with transport billing, fleet accounting, or driver pay processing
  • Experience working in a startup or small-to-medium-sized business
  • Excel skills (pivot tables, basic formulas, financial templates)
