In-House Case Manager – DOL / OWCP & Ohio BWC Patients

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented In-House Case Manager to join our growing team. This position works closely with physicians, employers, injured workers, nurse case managers, and federal/state agencies to coordinate care for our Department of Labor (DOL/OWCP) and Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) patients.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate care and follow-up for injured workers
- Communicate with physicians, employers, claims examiners, and nurse case managers
- Assist patients with treatment scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and return-to-work coordination
- Monitor patient progress and ensure timely documentation and claim updates
- Maintain accurate records within EMR and workers’ compensation systems
- Help patients navigate the DOL and Ohio BWC process with professionalism and empathy
- Support compliance with occupational medicine and workers’ compensation guidelines
- Help patients navigate the DOL/OWCP and Ohio BWC process with clarity, compassion, and professionalism
- Ensure documentation and case updates are accurate, timely, and organized
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered office culture where teamwork and accountability matter
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in case management, workers’ compensation, occupational medicine, medical office administration, or healthcare coordination preferred
- Knowledge of DOL/OWCP or Ohio BWC processes is a strong plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment while maintaining attention to detail
- EMR experience preferred
