We are seeking an experienced In-House Real Estate Counsel to support our legal, transactional, and operational work across multiple real estate projects in South Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase & sale agreements, loan documents, leases, vendor agreements, and construction contracts.
- Oversee legal aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, and development deals.
- Manage title, survey, zoning, land use, and due diligence processes.
- Support condo conversion documentation, filings, and compliance (declarations, budgets, public offering statements, etc.).
- Advise on corporate structure, entity formation, operating agreements, and joint-venture documents.
- Coordinate with outside counsel, lenders, brokers, and governmental agencies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and help manage risk across all assets.
- Provide day-to-day legal support for property management, leasing, and construction teams.
- Handle dispute resolution, demand letters, and oversight of litigation, when necessary.
- Assist leadership with special projects, strategic initiatives, and transaction structuring.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission in Florida (required).
- 5–10+ years of real estate law experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house work.
- Strong background in transactional real estate, including multifamily, development, financing, and commercial contracts.
- Experience with condo conversions and Florida condominium law is a major plus.
- Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, business-minded, and solution-oriented approach.
