Role Summary
Varent Holdings, LLC is seeking an experienced In-House General Counsel to serve as the company’s principal legal advisor across its healthcare, SaaS, real estate, and finance businesses. This role partners directly with the CEO and executive team to provide strategic legal guidance, manage enterprise risk, and support growth initiatives.

The General Counsel will oversee complex commercial contracts, regulatory and compliance matters (including healthcare and financial services), corporate governance, M&A, real estate transactions, and employment law. This role will also manage outside counsel and ensure legal strategy aligns with Varent’s business objectives.

Ideal candidates bring strong in-house judgment, experience supporting multi-entity organizations, and the ability to balance legal rigor with practical, business-forward solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise executive leadership on legal strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• Oversee contracts, transactions, and corporate governance matters
• Support M&A activity, entity structuring, and financing initiatives
• Manage employment, real estate, and commercial legal matters
• Coordinate with and manage outside counsel as needed

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership
• 7+ years of relevant in-house and/or law firm experience
• Strong business judgment with a practical, solutions-oriented approach
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-industry organizations preferred
