Position: In-House Legal Counsel
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports to: CEO / Managing Director

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel with strong expertise in UAE and UK corporate law to oversee all legal aspects of our business operations and provide strategic guidance to senior management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and supporting corporate initiatives with sound legal advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support across all business units, with a focus on corporate, commercial, and regulatory law in both the UAE and UK markets.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, shareholder agreements, and joint venture documents.
  • Advise on cross-border transactions, restructuring, and corporate governance matters.
  • Ensure company compliance with laws and regulations in both jurisdictions, including licensing, employment law, and data protection.
  • Liaise with external counsel where necessary and manage matters of litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution.
  • Support business expansion into new markets by advising on legal structures and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Draft and implement company policies in line with best practice and relevant laws.
  • Provide proactive legal training and guidance to senior management and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; Master’s degree or professional legal qualifications (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Admission to practice law in the UK and/or UAE is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of legal experience, with a proven track record in both UAE and UK corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong expertise in contract law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills; ability to draft legal documents with precision.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-border teams.
