Role Description

We are seeking a full-time, on-site In-House Legal Counsel to join our Nashville team. This role is essential in supporting our agency’s operations, creative output, and strategic growth.

The In-House Legal Counsel will be responsible for:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements
• Providing practical legal guidance to internal teams across the organization
• Conducting legal research and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Advising on legal matters related to intellectual property, employment law, advertising compliance, and general corporate risk
• Supporting leadership in decision-making and helping minimize legal exposure
• Ensuring the agency maintains strong adherence to industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements

This role works closely with the C-Suite and department leaders to ensure all legal considerations support Whitehardt’s business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in legal compliance, regulatory requirements, and corporate law
• Proficiency in contract negotiation and legal document drafting, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to analyze and resolve legal issues with practical, business-minded solutions
• Experience providing legal guidance that supports risk mitigation and strategic decision-making
• Excellent research, organizational, and communication skills
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school + active State Bar membership
• Prior in-house counsel experience or experience within advertising, media, or marketing industries is a plus
