Imagine standing at the intersection of innovation and strategy for one of the region’s most prestigious organisations. As a Legal Director you will lead as an innovator and a master negotiator. You will serve as the strategic engine behind exceptionally complex transactions, providing the high-level legal expertise that moves our internal business units forward.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will act as the senior liaison between the legal function and key business stakeholders. You are the guardian of quality, ensuring that every piece of drafting and every tactical decision is backed by meticulous research and sharp pragmatic awareness.

The Role
Working side-by-side with the Group General Counsel, you will drive the innovative thinking that defines their legal strategy and will help formulate and implement them. From overseeing the drafting of massive, high-stakes transactions to maintaining a network of top-tier external experts, you ensure the Group remains at the forefront of industry best practices. Every day brings a new challenge with a great variety of work where you might spend your morning advising department heads on complex liabilities and tactical options, helping them make informed, high-stakes decisions. By afternoon, you could be assisting in the creation of a new business vertical or steering the restructuring of an existing one. You will be the final line of defense, reviewing key contracts and ensuring the board of management are fully briefed on every risk and mitigation before they put pen to paper.

The Candidate

You will foster a spirit of continual development, ensuring the Legal Department remains a hub of constant learning and professional growth. To excel in this story, you need a specific set of tools and experiences from a graduate degree or above, ideally with a minimum of 12yrs PQE gained from a ‘top tier’ international law firm or within a complex regional in-house legal role. Must have a law degree from a leading UK/US or European Law School.
