Position: In-House Legal Manager

Location: Mumbai

Experience Required: 5–6 years

Languages: English, Hindi, Marathi

About the Company

We are a reputed real estate developer with a strong presence in residential projects, commercial office spaces, and mixed-use developments. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a proactive In-House Legal Manager who can independently manage legal matters, safeguard company interests, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advisory & Documentation

  • Draft, review, and finalize sale agreements, MOUs, conveyance deeds, lease agreements, joint development agreements (JDAs), and service/vendor contracts.
  • Provide legal support for land acquisition, title due diligence, approvals, and project launches.
  • Ensure compliance under RERA, IBC, Companies Act, and other relevant legislations.

2. Litigation & Representation

  • Represent the company in civil, commercial, and regulatory matters, including RERA authorities, consumer forums, NCLT, and courts.
  • Coordinate with external counsel for ongoing litigations and regulatory issues.
  • Draft replies, petitions, and legal notices as required.

3. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify potential legal risks in real estate transactions and provide preventive advice.
  • Monitor and implement RERA compliance, corporate governance, and statutory obligations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of legal records, agreements, and compliance registers.

4. Corporate & Commercial Law

  • Handle matters relating to corporate restructuring, board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and contract management.
  • Advise management on IBC, recovery proceedings, and dispute resolution strategies.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: LLB/LLM from a reputed university.
  • Experience: 5–6 years in real estate legal functions, preferably with developers or leading law firms.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of property laws, RERA, IBC, corporate and contract law.
  • Ability to draft, vet, and negotiate agreements independently.
  • Experience in litigation management and court appearances.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (both spoken & written).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
