In-Office Bookkeeper - Trucking Operations (Bogota, NJ)

The Role
We are a growing trucking company with a 20-truck fleet, and we are looking for a sharp, reliable Bookkeeper to join us at our office in Bogota. This is a "numbers-first" position. We need someone who lives for clean ledgers and organized records.
While your primary responsibility is the financial health of the company, this role offers a unique path for professional growth. Once you have mastered our bookkeeping systems, we will provide the training to eventually take over dispatching and operational duties.
Required Qualifications (Strictly Mandatory)
- QuickBooks Proficiency: You must be able to hit the ground running with bank reconciliations, A/P, and A/R. No training will be provided for basic QuickBooks functions.
- Advanced Excel: You should be comfortable with formulas and organizing large data sets.
- Logistics Experience: We are preferably looking for someone who has previously worked in a trucking or logistics company office and understands the industry "language" (Rate Cons, BOLs, etc.).
- Reliable Local Presence: This is a 100% in-office position in Bogota, NJ. Remote work is not an option.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and weekly bank reconciliations.
- Process driver settlements and reconcile fuel cards accurately.
- Maintain precise financial records and assist with industry filings (IFTA, etc.).
- Future Growth: Learn the "heartbeat" of the company by eventually training in dispatching and fleet operations.
