In Patient Certified Coder/ UAE Based

Key Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records including admission notes, progress notes, operative reports, discharge summaries, and lab results
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and DRG codes for inpatient cases
• Ensure compliance with DHA coding standards and UAE insurance regulations
• Clarify incomplete or unclear documentation with physicians
• Abstract clinical data into hospital information systems
• Ensure accurate DRG assignment for reimbursement purposes
• Participate in internal and external coding audits
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality
• Support denial management and claim resubmission processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related healthcare field
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CPC-H from AAPC

OR

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from AHIMA
• DHA License or Eligibility Letter (mandatory for Dubai)
• Minimum 2–5 years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong knowledge of DRG methodology

Required Skills

• In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology
• Knowledge of UAE insurance eClaims system
• Strong analytical and documentation review skills
• Attention to detail with high accuracy rate
• Ability to work under deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED9,500.00 per month
