In Person Elementary Tutor

Job Summary

Ottimmo has been providing K-12 Tutoring, Test Prep and College Admission counseling in DFW and online for over 15 years.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and dedicated Elementary Tutor to join our team at Ottimmo.This is an in-person role focused on providing high-quality, personalized instruction to students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will have a passion for foundational education and a desire to grow within a local business.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Instruction: Deliver engaging, in-person lessons in core subjects.
• Curriculum Adaptation: Tailor existing curriculum to meet the unique learning styles and academic levels of individual students.
• Progress Tracking: Regularly assess student performance through observations and formal evaluations; maintain detailed records of academic growth.
• Parent Communication: Conduct periodic meetings with parents to discuss student progress, areas for improvement, and success stories.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized learning environment that fosters curiosity and respect.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Certification: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (EC-6 preferred).
• Experience: 1–3 years of classroom or tutoring experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep understanding of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.
