In-Person Tutor (Pre-K Autism Support) – Evenings or Mornings – Round Rock, TX 78681

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable in-person tutor to support a Pre-K student (age 4) with autism in Round Rock. This is a specialized, high-impact placement focused on communication, engagement, and school readiness through play-based learning.

This is not a traditional academic tutoring role—this position focuses on early developmental and Pre-K readiness skills.

This student is non-verbal and receives ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We are looking for a tutor who can reinforce communication, build attention and participation, and create a positive, structured learning environment.

Schedule Options (2 sessions/week, 60 minutes each)

• Monday, Tuesday, or Friday after 5:00 PM

• Monday–Wednesday mornings between 8:00 and 9:30 AM (optional, based on tutor availability)

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring using play-based and structured activities
• Support communication development (verbal and/or assistive methods)
• Build attention, engagement, and Pre-K readiness skills
• Use positive reinforcement and patience to encourage participation
• Adapt sessions based on student responsiveness and interests
• Communicate regularly with parents and Club Z directors

Ideal Candidate

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience with young children (Pre-K or early elementary)
• Experience with autism, non-verbal learners, or special education required
• Background in education, ABA, speech therapy, or related field is a plus
• Patient, engaging, and able to build rapport quickly
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to student’s home

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be available for in-person sessions
• Must commit to a consistent weekly schedule

Compensation
$20–$24 per hour based on experience
