Overview:
We are currently seeking a diligent and customer-focused Inbound Taxi Operator to join our team. As an Inbound Taxi Operator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers by efficiently managing inbound taxi requests, coordinating dispatch operations, and ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering a safe and seamless transportation experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound taxi requests via phone, mobile app, or online booking platform, and accurately record customer details, pickup locations, and destination preferences.
  • Coordinate with taxi drivers to assign and dispatch vehicles based on availability, proximity, and customer preferences.
  • Monitor taxi locations and routes using GPS tracking systems to optimize efficiency and minimize wait times for customers.
  • Communicate with customers to provide estimated arrival times, confirm pickup details, and address any special requests or concerns.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner, striving to resolve issues promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Maintain accurate records of taxi dispatch activities, including trip logs, driver assignments, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local transportation regulations, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including dispatchers, customer service representatives, and taxi drivers, to ensure smooth operations and superior service delivery.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as invoicing, billing, and maintaining customer databases as needed.
  • Stay informed about traffic conditions, road closures, and other factors that may impact taxi operations, proactively adjusting schedules and routes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or transportation-related role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, mobile devices, and GPS navigation tools.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Knowledge of local streets, landmarks, and traffic patterns is advantageous.
