Join our team as an Incident Investigator supporting people with developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of the Director of Incident Management, you'll conduct agency investigations and provide administrative support to ensure regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct agency investigations in accordance with OPWDD regulations and NYS Justice Center requirements, ensuring timeliness, objectivity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze information obtained through interviews, documentation, and other evidence to determine findings and conclusions.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and defensible investigative reports, including findings and recommended actions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete investigation records within IRMA and other required systems.
  • Communicate with OPWDD, the NYS Justice Center, and internal leadership regarding investigation status and outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to OPWDD regulations and NYS Justice Center requirements
  • Provide staff training on investigations and incident reporting.
  • Support compliance activities as needed including audits and trend analyses.

We require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field (preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 5+ years’ experience conducting investigations within OPWDD programs (preferred)
  • Justice Center/OPWDD Investigator Certification (preferred)
  • Experience of working with People with Special Needs
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and investigative practices (preferred)
