Rock Island Auction Company (RIAC), the #1 firearms auction house in the world, is searching for a full-time Incoming Inventory Production Manager in Rock Island, IL!
This exempt, full-time position is 100% on-site. The salary range is up to $85,000 depending on experience. RIAC standard hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime and weekend hours, as needed.
The Incoming Inventory Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the incoming production team including tagging, unpacking, verifying, booking, and inventory movement. This position plays a critical role in inventory management and team production.
Essential Job Functions

Leads incoming production team and manages daily duties including, but not limited to, tagging, unpacking, verifying, booking, inventory movement, and performance management of direct reports.

Serves as subject matter expert for incoming production and consignor relations teams; and communicates inventory reporting and analysis.

Oversees and maintains correct booking info and compliance with ATF regulations.

Receives all RIAC inventory and manages stage of inventory within auction process.

Collaborates and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders to properly distribute booked-in items and when specialists are necessary.

Oversees combining; no-sale inventory retagging process and movement; arrival and processes for Class III weapons; and Company purchase booking.

Manages and oversees pre-booking while maintaining ATF Regulatory compliance but not limited to meeting requirement deadlines.

Meets with consignors and receives inventory, as needed; and ensures department and work area are properly prepared for incoming appointments for auctions including Saturdays and Sundays.

Manages and collects inventory turnover and returns from logistics team.

Communicates effectively between incoming compliance team, the VP of Incoming & Acquisitions, and other management for missing inventory, 501/NFA weapons, and loaded weapons.

Owns responsibility to handle or immediately escalate all high-level issues to senior leadership.

Assists incoming consignor relations team, as needed.

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Associate degree in inventory management, supply chain management, or related field; or equivalent experience; or any combination of relevant education and experience preferred.

Prior supervisory or team lead experience.

Prior experience facilitating training to individuals or small groups required.

Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
Physical Requirements
Routinely moving and transporting up to 25 pounds with occasional moving and transporting up to 50 pounds. Traversing and moving for prolonged periods up to 100% of the time with frequent ascending, descending, or positioning self to maintain moving and transporting consignor items. Must be able to constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, perceive and assess incoming production operations. Constantly operates and uses computer and other relevant equipment and office machinery. Constantly works with and around firearms, bladed weaponry, and valuable collectibles.
