Independent Contractor- cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential homes or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization
• Conduct specialized floor care such as carpet cleaning, waxing, and polishing to maintain surface quality
• Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Ensure proper sanitation practices are followed in kitchens, bathrooms, and high-touch areas to promote health and safety
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their cleaning preferences and needs
• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas using appropriate janitorial equipment and supplies
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or damage

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping management
• Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor care, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and laundry machines
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities
• Knowledge of janitorial supplies and proper use of cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety standards
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping is a plus but not required
• Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
