NOW HIRING – Independent Courier Driver (1099)

Christman Carriers is seeking a dependable independent contractor for a dedicated medical courier route in the Gulfport/Biloxi - Slidell/Kenner(N.O.) area.

This is a veterinary specimen pickup route involving time-sensitive lab transportation for veterinary clinics.

Route Overview:

• Evening route beginning at 5:00 PM CST
• Average completion time: approximately 2.5–3 hours
• Compensation ranges from $40–$80 per route/day (each route is a different value)
• Route begins outside the Biloxi area and ends within the city at the designated drop-off location. A 2nd route is available that would require the completion of the initial route in order to deliver all specimens to a colleague at the airport in Kenner(N.O.L.A)
• All pickups and deliveries MUST be completed on time to meet outbound transport schedules
• Drivers should target completion before 7:45 PM for the Biloxi route and absolutely no later than 9:00 PM for the shuttle route ending at the airport.

Position Expectations:

• Dedicated route coverage is required
• This is an ongoing contractor position with regular scheduled service needs
• Routes are primarily Monday–Friday but weekend coverage may occasionally be requested if available
• Holiday coverage is expected outside of major Federal holidays ( Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day etc.)
• Reliability, punctuality, communication, and route documentation are critical
• Accurate pickup and delivery documentation must be maintained throughout the route via the L.E.A.D.S app
• We are looking for a self-starter who can learn the route, manage time efficiently, and work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Current valid vehicle insurance (proof required)
• Current vehicle registration (proof required)
• Ability to independently manage a scheduled route
• Professional demeanor with clinic staff
• Must maintain dependable attendance
• Driver is responsible for fuel and vehicle expenses
• Strong time-management and organizational skills are required

Additional Information:

• 1099 Independent Contractor position
• Operating under a master contractor structure
• Two-week settlement hold
• First settlement issued Friday of the third week
• Drivers are strongly encouraged to maintain a trained backup driver available for emergency route coverage
