Independent Contractor – Website Implementation Specialist

The Role and Mission…

In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing web content and improving website performance. Your responsibilities will include editing H1 tags, Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, and Alt Image Tags to enhance SEO, adding or replacing content while preserving CSS styling and layout, configuring Google Analytics for insightful data tracking, verifying Google Search Console, and implementing sitemap.xml and robots.txt files to ensure optimal website functionality. If you have entry-level experience in IT, Web Development, or Computer Science, this position would be a great resume builder.

Schedule: For optimal training purposes, this freelance role requires availability during

Mountain Standard Time (MST) business hours (8 am and 5 pm) during at least the first two
weeks of employment.. Specific work hours will be discussed during the interview process. Please note that the anticipated workload for this position is up to (but not exceeding) 40 hours per week, with a standard 8-hour workday and a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Compensation: $USD 7.00 / hour. Payments are made monthly.

A Typical Day Might Include...

• Editing a web page's H1 tag, Title Tag, Meta Description and Alt Image Tag.
• Adding or replacing content on a web page while maintaining CSS styling and layout.
• Setting up Google Analytics and integrating it into our client’s website.
• Creating sitemap.xml, robots.txt files and uploading them onto the website’s server.

Our Ideal Candidate...

• Is able to implement a 301 redirect via the server configuration file (.htaccess, web.config).
• Can optimize page speed by leveraging browser cache, enabling file compression, etc.

You’ll Really Stand Out If...

• You’re familiar with Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
• You are able to navigate website directories via cPanel or an FTP client.
• You have an intermediate understanding of HTML and CSS.
• You come with the ability to stay on task, be efficient, and quickly complete tasks.

Equipment Requirements:
As a contract worker, you will be required to provide your own equipment, including:

• A laptop or computer.
• A headset.
• A reliable internet connection.
• The following applications, installed on your laptop or computer: Zoom, Gmail, Google Chrome, and Talkdesk.

Other Requirements:

• Fluent in English (C1/C2 level proficiency) and proficient in writing and grammar.
• Exceptional online communication skills.
• The ability to articulate thoughts clearly and effectively.
• Quick learning capability, adaptability, and flexibility.
• A high level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.

Additional Notes

• This is a contract position, so you will not be eligible for benefits.
• You must be able to work independently and manage your own time.
• You must be a citizen or permanent resident of India to be hired as a contractor in this role.
