Independent Courier Contractor

Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and reliable Independent Courier Contractors to join our delivery team. This role involves providing efficient and professional delivery services, ensuring customer satisfaction while managing your own schedule. Ideal candidates will have experience with commercial driving, route navigation, and handling various types of automotive cargo. As an independent contractor, you will operate your own vehicle to deliver packages across designated routes, supporting our commitment to timely and safe deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate your own vehicle to deliver packages along assigned routes; van, sedan, or SUV. No pickup trucks.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
• Navigate routes using GPS or other navigation tools to meet delivery deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
• Manage delivery documentation and obtain signatures when required
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage for billing purposes
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations

Skills

• Route is Mon-Sat. 12:15pm - 7pm. Opportunities could be available to pick up additional routes.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean, legible electronic copy to upload.
• Acceptable driving record. Any major violations in the past 7 years will not be considered.
• No felony or crime of moral turpitude convictions in the past 7 years.
• Must pass a 5-panel drug test.
• Vehicle insurance requirements Declaration Page MUST SHOW: Name of insured on policy; VIN/Vehicle Description; Policy Number; Effective & Expiration Date.
• Coverage Requirements: 50k bodily injury per person/100k bodily injury per accident/50k property damage
• Must have smartphone.
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures and safety protocols
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently as an independent contractor
• Physical ability to lift heavy packages and perform manual handling tasks as needed. This role offers the flexibility of working independently while supporting the logistics needs of our clients through professional delivery services.

Pay: $540.00 per week
