Job Summary/Organizational Impact

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Independent Property Adjuster to handle property insurance claims and appraisals efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will assess damages, and provide timely, accurate reporting to insurance companies. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. We are looking for adjusters with residential, mobile home and commercial insurance experience. The candidate must be open-minded and work with the senior members of the team to gain valuable claim-handling experience. Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Conduct thorough on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess damage and determine the scope of loss.
• Take detailed photographs, measurements, and notes to document the condition of the property.
• Perform attic and roof inspections as needed.
• Review insurance policies to determine coverage and exclusions applicable to each claim for estimating preparation.
• Identify potential discrepancies and communicate findings effectively.
• Prepare detailed estimates for repairs or replacement using industry-standard software (Xactimate).
• Provide comprehensive reports with clear recommendations for claim resolution.
• Communicate professionally with policyholders to explain the claims process and address questions or concerns.
• Act as a liaison between policyholders and insurance companies when needed to ensure a smooth claims process.
• Ensure all work complies with state and federal regulations, as well as carrier guidelines.
• Submit reports, estimates, and supporting documentation within established deadlines.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other experts as needed to validate findings and ensure accurate claim resolutions.
• Work closely with insurance company adjusters to resolve disputes and expedite claims.
• Ability to drive/travel within 75 miles of resident location. (round trip miles)

Required Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, and internal teams.
• Excellent time management skills with high attention to detail and organizational ability.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in claims handling.
• Be able to perform attic and roof inspections.
• Comprehensive understanding of property claims processes, policies, and industry standards.
• Understanding of construction and repair techniques, including materials and damage recognition.
• Proficiency in Xactimate with collaboration and Evolve/Filetrac, or other similar estimating and claims management software.
• Must have active Xactimate subscription.
• Knowledge of ITEL Mobile.
• Basic knowledge of FileTrac.

Certifications

• Maintain all necessary training and certifications as required by the various clients.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
