CRAY YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES POSITION OPENING
Full time position. High school or GED required, but bachelor's degree preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group life skills instruction
- Conduct formal and informal needs assessments
- Develop IL and transition plans
- Attend court hearings
- Ensure program compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, mandates and bulletins
- Act as a community resource link for youth
- Attend 40+ hours of training yearly
- Keep and maintain accurate client files
- Contribute as needed to NYTD data collection
- Attend the IL Retreat
- Attend local, regional and state meetings
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Assist youth in finding and maintaining employment
- Assist youth in securing housing
- Assist youth in educational pursuits
- Assist youth in opening bank accounts
- Assist youth in obtaining birth certificates, social security cards, photo ID's driving permits and other necessary items
- Provide services during non-traditional hours when necessary
- Report directly to the Independent Living Coordinator
Skills Required:
- Ability to work closely with legal, physical and behavioral health professionals, County Caseworkers, IL youth and community partners
- Ability to learn and apply required computer software and data entry skills
- Possess excellent interviewing and engagement techniques
- Ability to adapt to multiple demands and changing priorities and accommodate emergencies
- Ability to think and act independently or with minimal supervision
- Ability to work within the goals and mission of Cray Youth and Family Services
