About the Role

We are seeking reliable Independent Contractor Medical Couriers to transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and confidential documents between hospitals, clinics, labs, and patient homes. This is a 1099 contractor position requiring professionalism, punctuality, and strict adherence to handling and transport protocols.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver medical specimens, supplies, and documentation in a timely manner
• Follow all HIPAA and safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route status or issues
• Ensure secure and temperature-appropriate transport of all items
• Provide excellent customer service at healthcare facilities

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable, clean, well-maintained vehicle (small, fuel-efficient vehicle is a must)
• Smartphone with GPS and ability to use delivery apps
• Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs
• Professional appearance and communication
• Proof of auto insurance
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Availability for morning, evening, weekend, or on-call shifts (if required)
• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Previous courier, delivery, or medical transport experience
• Knowledge of medical specimen handling
• Familiarity with local hospitals and medical facilities
