Independent Pharmacy Technician / Compounding Technician

Independent Pharmacy = AMAZING work environment

Medsync pharmacy averages 400 scripts per day and staffs 4 pharmacists and 10 to 12 technicians for an 830 am to 630pm workday

No weekends and no major holidays :-)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and dependable Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing customized medications in a non-sterile environment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The ideal candidate is meticulous, organized, and passionate about delivering high-quality compounded medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and answer questions
  • Prepare and compound customized medications according to prescriptions and established protocols
  • Accurately measure, mix, and label compounded products
  • Ensure proper documentation of compounding formulas, lot numbers, and expiration dates
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of compounding areas, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance checks
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking compounding supplies
  • Support quality assurance procedures and participate in audits or inspections
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients and healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accuracy and safety in all preparations

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification or the ability to obtain one (there are no education requirements just a background check)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain compliance with regulations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Reliable with a keen eye for detail
  • Physically fit and able to manipulate compounding equipment
  • Certified Pharmacy technician is an asset
