Independent Transportation Driver – NIH Patient Transport (DC/MD/VA)

Job Summary

Cognifin LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking reliable and professional independent drivers to provide patient transportation services for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a federal government contract position providing steady, consistent work transporting NIH patients and authorized guardians across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.

Duties

• Transport NIH patients and authorized guardians to and from medical facilities, hotels, residences, and hospitals across the DC metro area
• Respond to same-day on-call requests and arrive within 30 minutes of dispatch
• Complete required trip documentation and vouchers accurately for each ride
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking vehicles courteously
• Accommodate passengers with mobility aids including wheelchairs when applicable
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during every trip
• Communicate promptly with dispatch regarding delays or incidents

Requirements

• Must own a reliable vehicle in good working condition
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Must pass background check and annual drug test
• Must be located in DC, Maryland, or Virginia
• Available for scheduled and same-day on-call trips
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Wheelchair accessible vehicle owners strongly preferred

This is a 1099 independent contractor position paying $850-$1,000/week plus gas card.

Pay: $850.00 - $1,000.00 per week
