We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Indian Cuisine Specialty Chef to lead and elevate our Indian menu. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in traditional and contemporary Indian cooking, a strong command of spices, and the ability to create authentic, high-quality dishes consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a wide range of authentic Indian dishes with precision and creativity
- Specialize in regional Indian cuisines (e.g., North Indian, South Indian, Mughlai, Tandoor, or Indo-Chinese)
- Develop and refine recipes, menus and signature dishes
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Manage kitchen operations related to Indian cuisine section
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory and minimize food waste
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as an Indian Specialty Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment
- In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
- Expertise in Tandoor, Curry, Biryani, or regional specialties (preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Culinary training in Indian cuisine is an advantage
