- Conduct regular classes (individual and group) in Hindustani classical vocal music.
- Teach students about swaras, ragas, taals, compositions (bandishes), and improvisation techniques.
- Train students in both practical and theoretical aspects of Hindustani classical music.
- Prepare students for stage performances, exams, and competitions.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to the needs and levels of students (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
- Encourage discipline, riyaaz (practice), and respect for the art form.
- Collaborate with other faculty for concerts, workshops, and cultural programs.
- Provide feedback and progress reports to students and parents.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Formal training in Hindustani classical music (Visharad/ Sangeet Prabhakar/ equivalent diploma or degree).
- Strong command over ragas, taals, and vocal techniques.
- Prior teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory for highly skilled performers).
- Ability to work with children and adults with patience and motivation.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and/or English.
- Passion for preserving and promoting Indian classical traditions.
