Indiana ABA Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented ABA Credentialing & Billing Coordinator to join our team! This vital role combines the precision of credentialing and the efficiency of billing processes to ensure seamless service delivery within our behavioral health organization. As the backbone of our administrative operations, you will manage provider credentials, verify insurance requirements, and oversee billing procedures, all while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your proactive approach will help us deliver exceptional care and support to clients and providers alike, fostering a positive and organized environment for everyone involved.

Duties

  • Manage the credentialing process for ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) providers, ensuring all licenses, certifications, and documentation meet regulatory and payer requirements
  • Verify insurance coverage, managed care plans, and NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards to facilitate timely reimbursements
  • Maintain accurate records of provider credentials, certifications, and licensing renewals in compliance with organizational policies
  • Process billing claims efficiently by submitting accurate invoices to insurance companies and payers
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly to resolve discrepancies and maximize revenue recovery
  • Collaborate with insurance companies, managed care organizations, and internal teams to ensure adherence to billing guidelines and regulatory standards
  • Stay updated on industry changes related to managed care policies, NCQA standards, and healthcare regulations affecting credentialing and billing practices

Skills

  • Strong understanding of managed care insurance plans and billing procedures within behavioral health settings
  • Prior experience in medical office administration or healthcare billing with a focus on behavioral health or ABA services
  • Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to behavioral health services
  • Knowledge of NCQA standards and compliance requirements for healthcare organizations
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with providers, insurance companies, and internal teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
