INDIANA MEDICAL ROUTE COURIER/CARGO VAN OWNER OPERATORS

Duties

• Safely operate a cargo van to pick up and deliver packages or goods along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and professional interactions with clients
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain optimal safety standards
• Navigate routes using GPS or route management software to optimize delivery times and efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any delivery exceptions or issues
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory or organizing shipments when required

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a courier, delivery driver, or commercial driver with a focus on route driving and customer service
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or vehicles with manual transmissions and automatic
• Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and moving items
• Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
• Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety procedures, and route planning tools
• Prior experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar commercial vehicles is advantageous
