Position Overview:
The Indirect Commodity Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement activities for all indirect and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) categories across the company’s facilities. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, quality, and safety, to define requirements, qualify suppliers, and ensure continuity of supply. The manager will drive cost savings, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting enterprise-wide procurement strategies and preferred supplier programs. This role is an in-office, individual contributor role, located in Addison, TX.
What you’ll do:

Apply sourcing, procurement and supply chain management expertise and job experience to:

Identify indirect vendors, manage vendor relationships, and drive supplier development and integration for existing, new, and potential suppliers.

Drive cost reduction and working capital improvements across indirect spend categories.

Conduct commodity category and industry analyses to identify opportunities; track and forecast key cost drivers impacting business conditions.

Manage the full lifecycle of supplier contracts, including legal coordination, renewal tracking, and compliance monitoring.

Assume a leadership role in developing strong supplier relationships that includes:

Leading contract negotiations and developing commercial agreements.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders and procurement teams to identify and develop new suppliers, define and execute projects, and meet deliverables within a matrix organization.

Provides matrix organization dotted-line project-specific work direction to site-based procurement teams.
What you’ll need:
BS or BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a business-related major, or equivalent experience of a minimum of 5 years of progressive sourcing and supplier management experience, with a focus on indirect/MRO categories.

Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and its application.

Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills and supplier assessment.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across global and regional teams.

High level of professionalism and ability to manage complex internal and external relationships requiring diplomacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools.

Experience with NetSuite ERP system is preferred.
