As a Global Indirect Category Manager, you will be responsible for owning the category-related targets, strategy, and program development related to the entire global spend/supply base.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage global indirect sourcing strategies across Client for all indirect categories including IT, Facilities Management, Travel & Entertainment, Marketing, Professional Services and other Indirect spend. This total indirect spend is approximately $45 million globally.
Create Sourcing strategies with budget owner for Indirect spend categories to meet the companies needs while focusing on cost reduction, lead time reduction, and quality requirements.
Develop a best practice approach to manage key Indirect categories, including: Define global supply landscape, Drive category knowledge management and information sharing, Understand key cost drivers and develop mitigating strategies, Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance
Use the competitive bid process to solicit capable sources to obtain business partner needs, favorable pricing, quality, and delivery.
Review proposals, negotiate, and issue purchase agreements with supply base at best total cost with global supply base.
Track and report measurements such as cost reduction, cost avoidance, terms improvement, lead time reduction and quality improvements with Indirect suppliers.
Build relationships with key stakeholders to coordinate and collaborate in executing key sourcing initiatives and managing supplier relationships
Travel domestically and internationally to Client facilities and suppliers as required
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
10+ years of experience as an Indirect Category Manager, Strategic Buyer, Procurement Project Manager, or related
Strong negotiation skills & experience in contract management
Proven experience in global sourcing in European, Asian, and North American markets
Experience in leading cross-functional project and program management teams
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & meet deadlines.
Advanced analytical and conceptual skills combined with the ability to drive results and use relevant tools, i.e., PowerBI
Knowledge of procurement systems and processes, & relevant regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preferably in Facilities Management, IT and Travel & Entertainment category management
Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline
Expert-level certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, Design to Cost, and Project Management methodologies
