Industrial Cleaner

1. Survey the plant to ensure of no obvious or potential slip hazards and remedy areas of concern.

2. Monitor industrial equipment for leaks, change out absorbent containment methods and report leaks/equipment deficiencies through maintenance request process.

3. Cleans equipment and machinery with specific focus on oil, dust, grease and material on machines, overhead pipes and conveyors.

4. Washes walls, ceiling and any metalwork.

5. Transports trash and waste to disposal areas as needed and advise proper personnel on dumpster status for change-out.

6. Picks up refuse and maintains plant grounds.

7. Operates industrial truck to transport materials within plant.

8. May use hand-powered trucks or similar powered tools or vehicles.

9. Back up for basic janitorial duties.

10. Maintains a neat and safe work environment.

11. Adheres to and upholds company’s safety policies and procedures.

12. Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

1-2 years of experience in janitorial/cleaning – manufacturing environment preferred.

Must comply with attendance program.

Pays special attention to detail; good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to climb in and out of industrial machines.

Stamina to stand for required work hours and lift, push, pull up to 80 lbs.

Ability to work independently with limited or no supervision.

Able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Sit or stand for long periods of time.
